ME&PAL Mod
Meet Everywhere & Play All Levels
Modders/hackers in the Journey community finally found a method to meet companions at the start of a new game / in Chapter Select (CS), and experience it together with virtually seamless gameplay. The method also works elsewhere. Companions can be met in Paradise, with or without having ended Snow together, and the level can be experienced with them 100% normally.
The ME&PAL Mod provides an easy way for anyone to meet companions in these places who are likewise using the mod, as well as play in all three Credits levels and Level_Bryan/"level09" (a prototype of Pink Desert (PD)) , where companions can also be met.
Currently, the mod only works for Steam.
To use the mod, all you need to do is start a standalone .EXE after starting Journey, or load a .CT file in Cheat Engine, and press hotkeys in-game occasionally while you play Journey.

History
The "triggers on/off" code function was found by Rebi, using Cheat Engine with the Epic Games version of Journey.
Paleologos converted this code to work on the Steam version, along with converting/finding many other codes, including the level swap codes used in ME&PAL.
Alazar88 experimented with using the triggers on/off code after noticing that the game's script files indicated that companions in CS were prevented simply by trigger instances for level events. During tests he did with assistance from Yupa_Miralda, it was discovered that by turning triggers off it is indeed possible to bring an already-met companion to CS; with further testing they found this even made it possible to meet companions within CS itself, and have two players experience the level together by turning triggers on and off at the right times.
Paleologos assisted with making the triggers on/off code more user-friendly so that it is a near-seamless gameplay experience, and Alazar88 worked all the codes into a user-friendly standalone mod program, released right before Journey's 9th anniversary.
With Rebi's help, Alazar88 and Yupa_Miralda devised a crude, complicated method to consistently find the specific triggers preventing companions in CS.
Alazar88 finally found a way to turn off the codes which activate these triggers, allowing companions to meet and play together seamlessly without needing to turn off all triggers.
